2025 Giants Week 8 Preview vs. Philadelphia

Fans are wondering in this Giants Week 8 preview: Can Big Blue do it again when facing their hated rivals from Philadelphia?

The last time the Giants and the Eagles met, in Week 6, the Giants shocked the football world and ended their losing streak against Philly. Not only did the Giants win that game, but they were in control. A 17-point victory is nothing to sneeze at, and doing it against a team that has had their number is sweet relief. However, that was then, and this is now. Big Blue has to go down to Philly for their second meeting of the season, and are tasked with beating them again in their building.

If you think that will not be easy, you are correct.

2025 Giants Week 8 Preview: What About the Kicker?

Following the two extra point misses against Denver, Jude McAtamney was cut from the team this week. Word is that Graham Gano will be ready to play. Allegedly.

Did you solely blame the kicker for the Giants losing the Denver game? Do yourself a favor and don’t. The Giants defense gave up 33 points in the fourth quarter. Yes, your placekicker should absolutely make virtually all of his extra point attempts in a season, but the front office and head coach put him on the field, and the defense had one of the worst fourth quarters in NFL history in terms of scoring.

If Graham Gano is not able to go, then the Giants are once again with no viable kicker. This is no way to run a team. If they have to wonder whether or not their aging kicker will be ready to play on Sunday, and have wondered sporadically over the course of a few seasons, then he is not the answer.
