2025 Giants Week 1 Preview

The 2025 Giants Week 1 game takes them down to Landover, Maryland. Will Washington spoil their season opener, or are the G-Men heading for a big win?

If you were looking at this game strictly on paper, you would think the former. After all, Washington is coming off of a 12-5 season and an appearance in the conference championship game. The Giants, on the other hand, were heading for the number-1 pick in the draft until they inexplicably beat the Colts. It would be very little of a stretch to say that the Commanders go into this game as the better team – but the better team does not always win. The better team that day does.

We do not have much information on the Giants yet, as the only three games they have played were meaningless exhibitions. Sunday at Washington is going to be the first real test, and they open with a tough one.

  • Bracket Yard asks if the Giants are being underestimated, and also if Washington are being written off by some this season as a fluke.
  • Finally, we give a few small subatomic-sized kernels as to why Giants fans should not be completely pessimistic about this game.
