Our 2025 New York Giants preview takes a look at Big Blue’s 17 game schedule, and asks some tough questions therein.
One look at what the Giants are up against in 2025, and you will recognize that even though they may well be an improved team from 2024, they might have little to show for it. No Giants fan wants that, unless their sole purpose in life is to see their team compile high draft picks, but that could be one result of this upcoming season.
We broke down the schedule and its level of difficulty.
2025 New York Giants Preview: The Opponents
The Giants face their own division six times, and have drawn the AFC West and NFC North as inter-divisional opponents for this season. Their opponents combined for a record of 166-123 last season, making the Giants’ schedule one of the toughest in football this year.
Divisional foe Dallas traded Micah Parsons, so they will not have to see him twice in 2025. They will, however, have to see him once, as the Giants play Green Bay in November.
Could the Giants Get Off to a Bad Start?
As much as we hate to say it, yes, they could. Their first half of the season is especially brutal. If they intend to avoid a 1-7 or 2-6 start, they are going to have to beat at least one or two good teams on the way. Then, if they can beat good teams, for any reason, then perhaps this season isn’t as bad as people feared. We have a long way to go until we get to that point.
