College football season keeps rolling along, and so too do the CFB picks for Week 8 in 2025.
In the preseason, Week 8 seemed like it might be a very good one. You’ve got old rivals Baylor and TCU meeting, not to mention USC and Notre Dame. Ole Miss and Georgia could be the game of the weekend on your television screen.
However, there are a few matchups I thought would be good that might not be. Oklahoma turned out to be a fine team, but South Carolina has failed to meet expectations. Ohio State, as always, excels, but Wisconsin is on their way to a very disappointing season. Texas A&M is one of college football’s best teams this year, but Arkansas has hit a rough patch and has already fired its coach. Finally, a game that would have been great last year, SMU at Clemson, is a battle between teams trying to avoid their third and fourth losses, respectively.
Don’t get me wrong, there are some solid matchups on the schedule, but it could have been even better.
As always around these Bracket Yard parts, we selected 10 FBS games out of the 60 Week 8 contests. Our picks are below, and go (insert team you root for here).
