Our Week 1 Giants postgame is a somber one – what else is new – as the G-Men fell in their 2025 season opener in Washington.
Perhaps you were feeling hope after a 3-0 preseason, even though they were playing limited competition. Perhaps you wanted to believe an infusion of new quarterbacks might rejuvenate the offense (which was not a completely unreasonable thought, as noted by us in a prior piece). Finally, perhaps you figured that with Brian Daboll ostensibly coaching for his job that his team might come out with a little bit of fight after two prior season openers where they got demolished.
Well, like they said in Dante’s “Inferno,” abandon all hope, ye who enter here.
In our Week 1 Giants postgame reaction, we call it like we see it. The news wasn’t all bad for the Giants – just mostly bad. The team in blue managed just two field goals throughout the course of the game.
