Featured Games of Week 1
The games we briefly reviewed in the 2025 CFB Week 1 preview are:
- Texas at Ohio State: This is a rare top-three matchup in August, and one that could have repercussions for the rest of the season.
- Auburn at Baylor: These teams seem evenly matched on paper, but who will win?
- Georgia Tech at Colorado: The Buffs are down two of their most important players on offense, but still have a reasonable chance at a quality non-conference win.
- Alabama at Florida State: Tough opener for the Seminoles following a disastrous 2024 season, but a chance for major redemption.
- LSU at Clemson: This is the other top ten game on Saturday, and there are multiple reasons to watch.
- Notre Dame at Miami: How do the Hurricanes rebound from the end of the end of the Cam Ward era?
- TCU at North Carolina: Bill Belichick is running the show in Chapel Hill, but can he win now?
These were previewed briefly because we have not actually seen any of these teams play yet, so there is nothing on the field to discuss.
