2025 Giants Week 7 Preview vs. Denver

With the Giants Week 7 preview, we find ourselves in a familiar position: Coming off of a big home win and going back on the road.

It has been an up-and-down 2025 New York Giants season so far. Mostly down, to be fair, but with some recent victories lifting the overall morale. Before the win over the Chargers a few weeks ago, the franchise stunk of death. Yet, even though they followed it up with an embarrassing loss to the Saints, they managed an even bigger win against the Eagles last week.

So, what do the Giants do with their prosperity now? Last time, they squandered it by losing a very winnable game. In Week 7, however, they get to face one of the league’s top defenses on the road in Denver.

Giants Week 7 Preview: The Basics

This is a 4:05pm Eastern time game in Denver. The Giants’ opponents for this week are 4-2, having just won their London game against the Jets in Week 6. Denver is in second place in the AFC West.

The Broncos were 6.5-point favorites at the time we recorded the preview video. As of Wednesday, the line is now DEN -7.5.

The Giants enter this game with a record of 2-4, having won two of their last three games following an 0-3 start to the season. New York is in last place in the NFC East.

Series History: Giants vs. Broncos

The Football Database has compiled all of the numbers, and this will be the 15th meeting all-time between the Giants and Broncos. Each team has won seven games in the series so far.

In positive news for the Giants, they can say that they won the most high-profile matchup of them all: Super Bowl XXI in January 1987.

NYG Stat of the Week

So far this season, the Giants are 1-1 against teams from the AFC West. They lost to the Chiefs in Week 3, but defeated the Chargers in Week 4. Their fourth and final game against this division will not be until Week 17 when they face the Raiders.

Bottom Line for NYG at DEN

Denver has a great defense, and they showed it again last week against a miserable Jets team. Granted, the Giants appear to be more dynamic than the Jets (even on the latter’s best day), but this is still going to be a challenge for Jaxson Dart, Cam Skattebo, and the Giants offense. Denver does not give up a lot of big plays, especially against the run, and they are very effective at getting to the quarterback, so a lot of pressure will be on Big Blue at the line of scrimmage.

The Broncos offense has some playmakers, but have had their moments of looking ineffective. The Giants defense we saw last week should be able to contain them, but here is the real question: Will we see the Giants defense we saw last week? In recent times, these have been two different teams at home and on the road.
