|[NFL] JJ Watt Heading to Arizona|
The future whereabouts of former Texans star JJ Watt were the subject of a lot of NFL banter over the last week or so. Hell, people were even searching Peloton profiles for answers. When Watt was released by the Texans, it was a shock given how he was the face of their franchise. Now, he will be another face on the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona signed Watt to a two-year, $31 million deal. The 31-year old has been the Defensive Player of the Year three times, and five times an All-Pro.
No doubt, he was one of the NFL’s most recognizable faces during his stint in Houston, but with injuries hampering him three out of the last five seasons, here’s what Arizona must consider: are the Cardinals getting him at his best? He’s 31, so it’s not like the Yankees getting Randy Johnson a few years too late, but one wonders if he’s going to return to All-Pro form. Watt can, for sure, but will he is the question.
|[NBA] Lloyd Pierce Out As Hawks Coach|
The Atlanta Hawks have fired head coach Lloyd Pierce. At the time of his dismissal, the Hawks were in 11th place in the East with a 14-20 record, two and a half games behind eighth and in third place in a lousy Southeast Division. This was the first head coaching stop for Pierce, who finished his time in Atlanta with an overall record of 63-120. Whether you know much about the NBA or not, that’s the sort of record that just ain’t gonna get the job done, especially when you have talent like Trae Young and yet cannot win games. The “interim” tag lands on Nate McMillan to coach out the season for Atlanta.

It’s a sad story, and surely taking a drop is better than this. We won’t try to score any points off of the poor man’s demise, so we’ll direct you to the link from Al.com.
