Still 68, for now.

We seek to answer two questions in our 2020 college basketball bracketology: who will make the 2020 NCAA Tournament, and what will be their seeds?

The time is upon us once again to think about the field of 68 in this year’s annual madness from the third month of the Gregorian calendar. As it has been in past seasons, 32 automatic bids go out to the champions of each Division I conference, while the other 36 bids are at-larges. As of 2020, the NCAA Selection Committee still utilizes the NET rankings to help quantify a team’s performance. Like last year, wins and losses are categorized into four “quadrants,” with Quadrant 1 wins being much more valuable than Quadrant 4’s. However, Quadrant 4 losses are much more damaging than Quadrant 1’s.

If for whatever reason you want to do so, you can see our 2019 bracketology page.

The intent of this page is to offer two things: the S-curve ranking the entries from 1 to 68, and then the theoretical bracket as seen by us.

Bracketology-related content: see which cities and arenas will be hosting the action of the 2020 NCAA Tournament.

LAST UPDATE: MARCH 8, 2020 – Please note: We have done our final bracketology of the year. We will update the S-curve daily on our Twitter page, @thebracketyard.
