2019 NCAA Baseball Tournament Bracket and Field
I hear Omaha is lovely this time of year.
The 2019 NCAA Baseball Tournament is the last gasp of the 2018-19 college sports season.
College football? Done long ago. College basketball? The Texas Tech-Virginia thriller is already almost two months past. Ice hockey? Ditto. There is very little left of this sports year at the Division I level, at a time when most college kids have gone home for the summer.
Yet, this tournament is just getting started, and it will end as always in Omaha with one College World Series champion. We are dealing with two brackets: the bracket to get through the NCAA Tournament to the 2019 College World Series, and the College World Series itself. You will see both here.

Who’s NOT In The 2019 College Baseball Bracket?
A few of the notable programs absent from the 2019 NCAA Tournament are:
Arizona. The 2016 national runners-up typically have a competitive program, but at 32-24, they did not earn an at-large. Arizona closed the season on a 10-game win streak, but this was not enough to gain them entry.
Virginia. A so-called blue blood program, the Hoos did not have a great season by their standards, finishing 32-24.
Texas. This was a down year for the Longhorns, a team with more College World Series appearances than any other program. The Horns went 27-27 on the season.
Cal State Fullerton. This is a baseball school, but this year, there was no NCAA Tournament for the Titans. Their final record was 27-26.
Southern California. One of the most successful college baseball program ever, 2019 was not their year. The Trojans posted a final mark of 25-29-1. Their last appearance in the College World Series was in 2001, and they are now four years removed from their last tournament trip.
