2019 Final Four Picks: The Road to Minneapolis

Who’s cutting down the nets

Who will cut down the nets in Minneapolis? We make our 2019 Final Four picks, which we hope are at least better than average.

Let the record show, however, that we have accurately predicted the last two champions. It would have been three in a row had Villanova not sunk that buzzer beater in 2016.

Be sure to watch the video in 4K and then take a little bit more away from it below.

2019 Final Four Picks: The Regions

East Region: Duke. Come on, guys. Zion is really good.

South Region: Virginia. The Hoos may not actually get this far, but I can promise you they will not lose to a 16 seed again. The stench of last year’s failure reeks so strongly that they will prevent this from happening at all costs.

Midwest Region: Kentucky. We can’t have ALL three ACC teams getting through to the Final Four, can we? Kansas will get the home court advantage in the Sweet 16 to take out North Carolina, and they may well take out Kentucky, but I’m not going that far.

West Region: Michigan. Not to take anything away from Gonzaga, but this Michigan team means business in the tournament. For a team that has not won a title recently, they have done a lot. Final Fours in 2013 and 2018, Elite Eights in 2013, 2014, and 2018, and Sweet Sixteens four out of the last six tournaments. They are built to go far.

Duke. What did we say about Zion?
