2018 Australian Open: Through the 4th Round
The biggest names left in the men’s draw as of 22 January: Rafael Nadal (1), who faces Marin Cilic (6) in the quarterfinals. Grigor Dimitrov (3) of Bulgaria remains alive in the tournament. Novak Djokovic (14) has as good a chance of winning as anybody left. And when Roger Federer (2) is still in the mix, he’s a tough out.
The biggest names left in the women’s draw as of 22 January: The top seed, Simona Halep (1), has made it to the fourth round. Karolina Pliskova (6) remains in the hunt. The only American left in the draw is Madison Keys (17), who faces Caroline Garcia (8). Speaking of Carolines, Wozniacki (2) is still around and in the quarterfinals. Elina Svitolina (4) hopes to become the first Ukrainian to win the women’s singles event.
