POLLS: 2017 National League Division Champions
The Central remains the biggest question mark.
Three 2017 National League division champions are yet to be crowned this season.
You might think you know about two of them, but predicting all three in July? That’s hard to tell. This takes into consideration that one of the divisions, the NL Central, is volatile. The NL West features three excellent teams, and the NL East is a runaway.
Whereas there’s not much of a wild card race, the divisional races are important for teams like the Brewers, Cubs, and Cardinals. We put the question to you on who will win the NL East, West, and Central.
2017 National League Division Champions: NL East
The Washington Nationals (52-36) are almost ten games clear of their second place opposition, the Atlanta Braves (42-45). Those records get worse from there. For example, Miami (41-46) is the third-place team but five games under .500. The Mets (39-47) lag behind that, and the Phillies (29-58) are a nightmare.
Further, Washington is the only team in the division with a positive run differential (+90). At nine games up in the loss column, it’s their title to lose.
