The Big 12 has several good teams, and looks like a league that will get five, maybe six teams in the NCAA Tournament. Assuredly, no matter what the Jayhawks do this coming week, they will be there. Whether or not they get a one seed is up for debate, but as of now, they would.

The real question here, and probably the only question, is if someone is going to beat Kansas. All roads in this tournament lead to the Jayhawks and that’s how it’s been for a while. Kansas has won seven Big 12 Tournaments since 2006, appearing in twelve Big 12 finals since the league formed in 1997. They are as dominant a force in this conference as there is. This is the team the opposition guns for, and it makes sense, considering they’re also #1 in the nation.
The Jayhawks lost twice in the regular season: Iowa State and West Virginia. If Kansas sees them it’ll be late in the tournament. In the event they run into Baylor, however, that will also be a tough game: Kansas won both, but they were close games.
