Bowl Picks: 2016 Heart of Dallas Bowl

[lead align=”default”]In the 2016 Heart of Dallas Bowl, you have a bit of a rarity.[/lead]

This is one of those unusual bowl games where the two teams have already met. North Texas went to Michie Stadium and beat Army soundly in October. Since then, the Black Knights went on to a winning season and a huge win over Navy. On the other side, UNT fell to 5-7 but got in via APR.

North Texas should feel quite fortunate that they not only made a bowl, but that they essentially have home-field.

2016 Heart of Dallas Bowl: The Edge

One would imagine that there will be an intangible factor in this game. Namely, Army wanting payback. The Mean Green beat them on their turf, so now the Black Knights have a chance to return the favor.

North Texas has a poor run defense, and a run defense is kind of important when playing a triple option team. Army is the better team and should get them this time. Do they lay 11, however? That’s a tough call.
