[lead align=”default”]Giving away the store a little bit here, you may be shocked to learn we’re not going for Cleveland in these NFL picks.[/lead]

Given how bad of a season it’s been for us so far, that might actually be good news for the Browns. Still, no team has looked quite as dreadful.

Several teams have the first bye weeks of the season, giving up a shortened slate. Who comes out on top, or at least against the spread?

NFL Picks: Miami at Cincinnati (-7)

Thursday, 8:25pm

The Dolphins aren’t a great team, but both of these took their losses against quality opponents. Go with the home team.

NFL Picks: Indianapolis (-2.5) vs. Jacksonville

Sunday, 9;30am

I doubt this game will want the British to crave the Jaguars in London even more.

NFL Picks: Tennessee at Houston (-6)

Sunday, 1pm

JJ Watt going on IR is bad news for Houston long-term, but they should be able to handle the ex-Oilers.

NFL Picks: Cleveland at Washington (-8)

Sunday, 1pm

As promised, we’re not taking the Browns. Seems like too many points to lay on Washington, but this is what’s called dedication to a bit.
