2. The SEC Championship Game

Saturday, December 3

Whether dealing with the BCS or CFP, doesn’t this game always seem like a play-in for the national championship?

There is virtually no doubt that at least one of the teams playing in this game will have the ability to lock up a CFP berth with a victory.

While the SEC East has some fine football teams, the SEC West is the division of champions, at least in recent conference history. The Western champ won the SEC crown each of the last seven years, and four of those teams won the national championship.

If the SEC West makes it eight straight in December, that team will have precisely zero worries when the bracket is announced.
